Veteran’s Day Celebration

I don’t know about you, but I have had enough of politics this year.  Regardless of your leanings, these mid-term elections were ugly, ugly, ugly.  I need a break. Fortunately I found it on Saturday with a Veteran’s Day program at our fairgrounds.  Many of the elementary schools had back-to-back concerts.  It was delightful.  I got there early so as to get a good seat … Continue reading Veteran’s Day Celebration

Naptime

While spending the afternoon together, six-year-old Breezy was reminising with me about her “school daze” and the different schools she’s attended. Breezy herself came to walk me … Continue reading A few minutes in first grade

The conversation

I spent the day with Breezy recently while her parents took her sister to an all-day softball tournament. We had a perfectly delightful day shopping, and hanging out at the skating rink, which also has video games, laser tag, a jungle gym, food, prizes…..it’s just an all-around cool place. But in the car to-and-from we had some quality time for good conversation about summertime and … Continue reading The conversation
